Privacy and cookies
Last updated
Short version: we don't set cookies, we don't run analytics, ads or tracking scripts, and we don't ask you for any personal data. That's why there is no cookie banner.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the operator of Workswithwhat, as listed in thelegal notice.
What gets processed when you visit
The site is a set of static pages. To deliver them, two providers handle your request and, like any web server, see technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time:
- GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) hosts the files. See theGitHub General Privacy Statement.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) sits in front of the site to serve it quickly over HTTPS and to block attacks. See Cloudflare's GDPR page.
We use this only to deliver the site and keep it secure, which is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We don't receive or keep personal access logs, don't build profiles, and don't combine this with other data. Both providers are based in the United States and certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which covers transfers of data from the EU.
Cookies
Workswithwhat sets no cookies and uses no local storage. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (such as cf_clearance) if it has to check that a request isn't automated. These cookies only protect the site, don't track you, and are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy rules (in Spain, Article 22.2 of the LSSI).
If you contact us
Corrections and questions go through GitHub issues, which are public and subject to GitHub's privacy statement. Don't include personal data you don't want published.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, or object to its processing, by contacting us as described in the legal notice. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
Changes
If we ever add analytics or anything else that processes personal data or sets non-essential cookies, we will update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
