Wyze Plug: what it works with
Wyze · model WLPP1 · For the US and Canada
- Matter Unconfirmed
- Apple Home Unconfirmed
- Google Home Yes
- Amazon Alexa Yes
- SmartThings Unconfirmed
- Home Assistant Unconfirmed
Alexa and Google Home, yes; Apple Home and SmartThings, not on Wyze's list. The Wyze Plug (WLPP1) links to both assistants through your Wyze account and joins 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi directly, so there's no hub. Wyze names no Matter support. It's a US plug rated 15 A, and it doesn't measure energy: the app only shows how long it ran. Home Assistant has no official Wyze integration.

| Platform | Works? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Matter | Unconfirmed | Wyze's product page and integrations list name Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT and don't mention Matter. That's an absence, not an explicit no, and we found no CSA listing for a Wyze plug. |
| Apple Home | Unconfirmed | Wyze's integration list (Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT) leaves out HomeKit, but Wyze never says it's unsupported. No Matter listing found either.[2] |
| Google Home | Yes | Link your Wyze account in the Google Home app. Wyze says the Google integration is officially supported in the US only.[1],[3],[4] |
| Amazon Alexa | Yes | Through the Wyze Alexa skill; on/off by voice using the plug's name.[1],[3],[5] |
| SmartThings | Unconfirmed | Wyze's integration list (Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT) leaves out SmartThings, but Wyze never says it's unsupported.[2] |
| Home Assistant | Unconfirmed | There is no official Wyze integration in Home Assistant. Community custom integrations (e.g. ha-wyzeapi) exist and use the Wyze cloud API. |
“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
Specs that matter for setup
- Radio: 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only; Wyze says it won't join 5 GHz. This record is the original WLPP1. The later WLPP1CFH revision sets up over Bluetooth, per FCC filings and the Wyze forum; Wyze's product page doesn't give a model number.
- Hub: Connects directly to Wi-Fi; Wyze says no hub is needed.
- Local control: Wyze says the side button still works when Wi-Fi is down, but app control stops. We found no official statement on local network control without the Wyze cloud.
- Energy monitoring: Wyze says it can't report energy use; the app only shows run time. Wyze's metering plug is the Wyze Plug Outdoor.
- Max load: Wyze lists 100–120 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 A maximum but no watt figure. 15 A at 120 V would be 1800 W; that's derived, not stated.
