“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
Specs that matter for setup
- Radio: Matter over Thread; the CSA listing names Thread and Bluetooth (Bluetooth is used for setup).
- Hub: IKEA's page says a Thread border router is needed to control it from a phone and gives its DIRIGERA hub as an example; another ecosystem's border router also works, so no IKEA hub is required.
- Local control: No page seen says whether it keeps working without internet.
- Power: IKEA recommends LADDA rechargeable HR03 AAA 1.2 V cells; batteries are not included.
Before you buy
- Needs a Thread border router, such as DIRIGERA, HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K.
- IKEA no longer sells PARASOLL; its Austrian help page names MYGGBETT as the door/window sensor it sells now.
