Battery-powered and wired to no mains, the Philips Hue Wall Switch Module connects to the free contacts of an existing wall switch (43 x 38 x 10 mm) and turns it into a Hue control. It does not dim or switch the load itself; it sends commands to Hue lights. Everything goes through a Hue Bridge, which covers Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant, and Matter reaches it only via the Bridge. A CR2450 cell is rated at five years or more.
