Netatmo's own integrations connect its Smart Thermostat (EU) to Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa, and Home Assistant has an official Netatmo integration. Matter support is not confirmed. A mains relay in the box joins Wi-Fi and switches an on/off boiler, heat pump or stove. The thermostat itself runs on 3 × AAA and talks to the relay by radio.

Specs that matter for setup
- Radio: The mains relay joins Wi-Fi; the thermostat talks to the relay over a long-range radio link, which is not in our radio list.
- Hub: The relay that bridges the thermostat to Wi-Fi comes with the thermostat. Nothing else is sold separately.
- Local control: Netatmo pages seen do not describe local-only control. HomeKit is reported to run locally by community posts only.
- Controls: Netatmo says a system is compatible if it can be run by an on/off dry-contact room thermostat, and points buyers to its online checker. The OpenTherm model is a different product.
- Power: Thermostat runs on three AAA alkaline cells; the relay runs on mains power.

- Works only with on/off (dry-contact) systems; OpenTherm boilers need Netatmo's separate modulating thermostat.
- Check your boiler on check.netatmo.com before buying.
- Home Assistant control goes through Netatmo's cloud.
- Apple Home control away from home needs a home hub such as an Apple TV.
