- Amazon Alexa Via Matter
- SmartThings Via Matter

Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant all control the Nanoleaf Essentials A19 (NF080B03-1A19E) as a Matter light, once a Thread border router such as a HomePod mini or Nest Hub (2nd gen) is on your network. Without one, the Nanoleaf app still runs it directly over Bluetooth. It's a full-colour E26 bulb with tunable white from 2700 to 6500 K. Nanoleaf rates it at 806 lumens average, a 60 W equivalent, and 1100 lumens at maximum.

“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
Specs that matter for setup
- Radio: Thread for Matter control; Bluetooth for setup and direct control from the Nanoleaf app.
- Hub: Nanoleaf says the bulb can be set up and controlled over Bluetooth in the Nanoleaf app with no hub. Matter and ecosystem control need a Thread border router.
- Local control: Matter runs over the local network (Thread/IPv6), and Bluetooth app control is direct.
- Light: Over 16 million colours plus tunable white (2700–6500 K).
- Brightness: Nanoleaf's SKU page gives 806 lm average and 1100 lm max, and rates the bulb as a 60 W equivalent, which matches 806 lm, so we use 806. Its US 3-pack page says 900 lm average / 1000 lm max.
Before you buy

- Nanoleaf's brightness figures vary: 806 lm average and 1100 lm max on the SKU page, 900 lm average and 1000 lm max on its US 3-pack page.
- Nanoleaf's older FAQ still calls Alexa support 'coming soon', though the current product page lists it.
