Nous A1T (EU): what it works with
Nous · model A1T · For Europe
- Matter Unconfirmed
- Apple Home Unconfirmed
- Google Home Unconfirmed
- Amazon Alexa Unconfirmed
- SmartThings Unconfirmed
- Home Assistant Yes
Tasmota comes preinstalled on the Nous A1T (EU), so there's no vendor cloud: it goes straight into Home Assistant through the official Tasmota integration, which needs an MQTT broker and Tasmota 9.2 or later. It measures and records energy use, though readings need calibrating to be accurate. Alexa and Google Assistant only work through Home Assistant or similar software, not the plug itself. Nous's own page gives conflicting load ratings (10 A in the spec table, 16 A in the name), so we don't list a maximum.

Ecosystem compatibility
| Platform | Works? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Matter | Unconfirmed | Nous's A1T page doesn't mention Matter and no CSA listing was found. It ships with Tasmota firmware. |
| Apple Home | Unconfirmed | Nous's A1T page doesn't mention Apple Home. |
| Google Home | Unconfirmed | Nous says Google Assistant works only after connecting the plug to Home Assistant or similar software. There is no Nous cloud link or bridge, so this relies on Home Assistant's own Google integration, not the plug. |
| Amazon Alexa | Unconfirmed | Nous says Alexa works only after connecting the plug to Home Assistant or similar software. There is no Nous cloud link or bridge, so this relies on Home Assistant's own Alexa integration, not the plug. |
| SmartThings | Unconfirmed | Nous's A1T page doesn't mention SmartThings. |
| Home Assistant | Yes | Through HA's official Tasmota integration over MQTT (needs an MQTT broker and Tasmota 9.2+). Nous names Home Assistant as the intended platform.[1],[2] |
“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
Specs that matter for setup
- Radio: 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only; Nous says it does not work on 5 GHz networks.
- Hub: Wi-Fi plug running Tasmota, configured through its own web interface. Voice assistants need Home Assistant or similar.
- Local control: Tasmota firmware runs locally with a built-in web UI and MQTT; no vendor cloud.
- Energy monitoring: Measures and records consumption. Nous and the Tasmota template both say it needs power-monitoring calibration for accurate readings.
- Max load: Nous's own page conflicts: the spec table says 10 A max load / 2500 W, while the product name and relay description say 16 A. Retailers list 16 A / 3680 W.
