Behind your existing switch or socket, the Shelly 1PM Gen4 adds a 16 A relay with power metering (no dimming) and needs a neutral wire. Its default firmware is CSA-certified Matter over Wi-Fi, so Apple Home, Google Home and SmartThings can add it without a hub, and Alexa works through the Shelly Cloud skill or Matter. Home Assistant has an official local integration.
