Shelly 2PM Gen4 packs two relays with per-channel power metering into a 37 x 42 x 16 mm module that goes behind a switch or socket, or drives a shutter in cover mode. Each channel switches 10 A (16 A total) at 240 V AC. The default firmware is Matter over Wi-Fi, so Apple Home, Google Home and SmartThings can add it without a hub, and Alexa works through Shelly's skill or Matter.

Specs that matter for setup
- Radio: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee. Matter over Wi-Fi is the default profile; five button presses switch it to the Zigbee profile.
- Hub: Wi-Fi device that pairs through Matter or the Shelly app. Zigbee mode needs a Zigbee coordinator, but the default does not.
- Local control: Shelly lists an embedded web interface, local actions and standalone Wi-Fi operation; Home Assistant's integration uses local push.
- Form: 37 x 42 x 16 mm double relay that sits behind an existing switch or socket; also has a cover (shutter) mode.
- Dimmer: Two on/off relays with power metering on each channel; no dimming.
- Needs neutral wire: Shelly's spec lists N and L supply terminals and the wiring diagram shows a neutral, but no row says neutral is required, so unconfirmed.
- Gangs / channels: Two relay outputs, each with a switch input. Max 10 A per channel, 16 A total, at 240 V AC.
Before you buy
- Each channel is rated 10 A, with 16 A across both; check heavy loads against that.
- Zigbee is an alternative profile you switch to, and it needs a Zigbee coordinator; Matter over Wi-Fi is the default.
- Shelly's spec does not state whether a neutral wire is required.
