- Apple Home Yes
- Google Home Yes
- Amazon Alexa Yes
- SmartThings Yes
- Home Assistant Unconfirmed
Honeywell Home sells the T9 as a US Wi-Fi wall thermostat with optional wireless room sensors, and it needs 24 V on a C-wire (an adapter is included). Alexa and Google Assistant can read the thermostat and sensors, while HomeKit and SmartThings can only change setpoints, according to Honeywell. It suits most 24 V heat, cool and heat pump systems. Home Assistant and Matter support are not confirmed.

| Platform | Works? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Matter | Unconfirmed | No Honeywell or CSA page found mentions Matter for the T9. Absence is not a statement that it lacks it. |
| Apple Home | Yes | Honeywell's T9 user guide has a HomeKit pairing procedure (Connect HomeKit on the thermostat, then scan the code in the Home app). Its support article says HomeKit can change setpoints but cannot read the room sensors.[2],[4] |
| Google Home | Yes | Honeywell says Google Assistant can view and control both the thermostat and its sensors.[2] |
| Amazon Alexa | Yes | Honeywell says Alexa can view and control both the thermostat and its sensors.[2] |
| SmartThings | Yes | Honeywell lists SmartThings. Its support article says SmartThings can change setpoints but cannot read the sensors.[2] |
| Home Assistant | Unconfirmed | Home Assistant's Honeywell integration is for Total Connect Comfort and lists other models; the docs seen do not name the T9. A forum user runs a T9 through HomeKit, which is not a maker source. |
“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.

- Wall thermostat[1]

- Most 24 V heat, cool and heat pump systems[5]
- Radio: Honeywell lists Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz). The room sensors link directly to the thermostat; the pages we saw don't name their radio.
- Hub: Built-in Wi-Fi; room sensors pair directly with the thermostat.
- Local control: No maker source states what works without internet.
- Type: Wall-mounted thermostat.
- Controls: Honeywell's guide says it does not work with electric baseboard (120-240 V) or millivolt systems. Contact a pro for line voltage, dual fuel or fan coil setups. One record covers the RCHT9510WFW (no sensor) and RCHT9610WFSW (with sensor), which share the same installation guide.
- Power: Honeywell says the T9 needs 24 V through a C-wire and ships with a C-wire adapter for homes without one. The install guide says adapter installation is more complicated on zoned systems.
Before you buy
- HomeKit and SmartThings cannot read room sensor values, per Honeywell's support article.
- A C-wire is required; the supplied adapter covers homes without one, but Honeywell says fitting it on zoned systems is more complicated and suggests a pro.
- Not for electric baseboard or millivolt systems.
