Venetian blinds you already own get motorised slat tilt from SwitchBot Blind Tilt (US). It does not raise or lower the blind. The app and timers work over Bluetooth with no hub, and SwitchBot's page says a solar panel comes with it, rating the battery at about 10 months. A SwitchBot hub adds voice assistants, SmartThings and Apple Home.

| Platform | Works? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Matter | Unconfirmed | The motor isn't itself Matter-certified as far as we found. SwitchBot lists Blind Tilt under Matter over Bridge, and its page says Matter works with Hub 2.[1],[4] |
| Apple Home | Via SwitchBot Hub 2 | SwitchBot says Blind Tilt supports Matter and Apple HomeKit with a Hub 2 (sold separately). Its Matter list also names Hub Mini Matter Enabled, Hub 3 and AI Hub as bridges.[1],[4] About the SwitchBot Hub 2 (US) |
| Google Home | Via SwitchBot hub | SwitchBot lists Google Assistant voice control with a SwitchBot hub (sold separately); its spec page names the Hub Mini.[1],[2] |
| Amazon Alexa | Via SwitchBot hub | SwitchBot lists Alexa voice control with a SwitchBot hub (sold separately); its spec page names the Hub Mini.[1],[2] |
| SmartThings | Via SwitchBot hub | SwitchBot lists SmartThings with a SwitchBot hub (sold separately); its spec page names the Hub Mini.[1],[2] |
| Home Assistant | Yes | Home Assistant's SwitchBot Bluetooth integration lists Blind Tilt as a cover (tilt only) and connects locally, without SwitchBot Cloud. The Home Assistant host needs Bluetooth.[5],[6] |
“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
Specs that matter for setup
- Radio: BLE 5.0 or later (long range), per SwitchBot's spec sheet.
- Hub: The app and timers work within Bluetooth range without a hub. A hub is needed for voice assistants, Apple Home, sunrise and sunset schedules, and groups of more than 4 blinds.
- Local control: App control within Bluetooth range needs no hub or cloud; Home Assistant's integration also connects locally.
- Moves: SwitchBot says it fits most wand-controlled horizontal blinds and tilts the slats; it doesn't raise or lower the blind.
- Fits your existing curtain or blind: Fits existing blinds without replacing the slats.
- Power: 2,000 mAh lithium battery, USB-C, about 10 months per charge per SwitchBot. SwitchBot's product page says a solar panel is included.
