Energy tracking is why people buy the EU Tapo P110: the Tapo app shows live and historical use plus a bill estimate based on your rate. For control, it works with Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings through your TP-Link account, and with Home Assistant via its TP-Link integration. It's a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi plug rated 16 A / 3680 W, no hub needed. Apple Home and Matter aren't on TP-Link's list; the Tapo P110M is the Matter version.

Ecosystem compatibility
| Platform | Works? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Matter | Unconfirmed | No official source states Matter support or explicitly rules it out for the P110; product pages simply don't list it. TP-Link's Matter version is the separate Tapo P110M. |
| Apple Home | Unconfirmed | TP-Link's P110 pages list Alexa, Google Assistant and SmartThings and don't mention Apple Home, but no official page says it is unsupported. The Tapo P110M is the Matter version. |
| Google Home | Yes | Through the Tapo cloud link (Works with Google Home). Set the plug up in the Tapo app first.[1],[4] |
| Amazon Alexa | Yes | Through the Tapo Alexa skill, linked to your TP-Link account.[1],[5] |
| SmartThings | Yes | Through the Tapo partner integration in the SmartThings app, signed in with your TP-Link ID.[1],[6] |
| Home Assistant | Yes | Home Assistant's TP-Link Smart Home integration lists the P110 among supported Tapo plugs. Newer devices need your TP-Link account credentials once.[7] |
“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
Specs that matter for setup

- Yes[7]
- Radio: 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. TP-Link says Bluetooth is used to speed up setup.
- Hub: Wi-Fi plug that joins your 2.4 GHz router directly and is set up in the Tapo app; no bridge is listed.
- Local control: Home Assistant's TP-Link integration controls it over the local network, though newer firmware needs TP-Link account credentials to authenticate. We found no TP-Link page on Tapo-app control without internet.
