Tapo P110M (EU): what it works with

TP-Link · model Tapo P110M · sold in EU

Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings reach the EU Tapo P110M through Matter, while Home Assistant can use either its TP-Link integration or Matter. The Tapo app needs no hub, but each third-party platform needs its own Matter controller. It's a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi plug rated 16 A / 3680 W, with Bluetooth used only for setup. Energy use, history and bill estimates show in the Tapo app; firmware 1.3.2 added Matter energy reporting, which TP-Link has verified in SmartThings and Home Assistant.

MatterYes, over Wi-FiTP-Link's EU pages call it Matter-certified. The CSA listing (family SKU P110M, cert CSA23546MAT41059-24) names only the P110M(UK) variant; we found no CSA entry naming P110M(EU).[1],[2],[6] Other Matter plugs
Apple HomeVia MatterTP-Link lists Apple Home. There is no HomeKit (HAP) mode, so this goes through Matter; the EU datasheet says a controller such as an Apple TV or HomePod is needed.[1],[2],[5]
Google HomeVia MatterAdded in the Google Home app by scanning the Matter code. Needs a Google Matter controller.[1],[2],[5]
Amazon AlexaVia MatterTP-Link says Matter-enabled Tapo devices connect to Alexa directly through Matter, not through the Tapo skill. Needs an Echo that works as a Matter controller.[1],[5],[9]
SmartThingsVia MatterTP-Link lists Samsung SmartThings; setup is through Matter.[1],[2],[5]
Home AssistantYesHome Assistant's TP-Link Smart Home integration lists the P110M among supported Tapo plugs; newer devices need your TP-Link account credentials once. It can also be added through the Matter integration.[7],[8]

“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
