TP-Link · model KS220 · For the US and Canada
Wi-Fi dimmer for a US wall box, no hub: the Kasa KS220 needs a neutral wire and single-pole wiring. TP-Link lists Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings as supported platforms, and Home Assistant supports it through its TP-Link integration. It dims 150 W of LED or 300 W of incandescent.

| Platform | Works? | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Matter | Unconfirmed | TP-Link's Matter dimmer is the separate KS225; the KS220 pages we saw make no Matter claim. KS220 is still sold alongside it, so we used it. |
| Apple Home | Yes | TP-Link lists Apple Home as a third-party platform. The user guide covers adding it in the Home app with its HomeKit code; a home hub (HomePod or Apple TV) is optional, for remote access.[1],[4] |
| Google Home | Yes | Listed by TP-Link as a supported third-party platform.[1] |
| Amazon Alexa | Yes | Listed by TP-Link as a supported third-party platform.[1] |
| SmartThings | Yes | Listed by TP-Link as a supported third-party platform.[1] |
| Home Assistant | Yes | Home Assistant's TP-Link Smart Home integration lists the KS220 as a supported wall switch.[5] |
“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
Specs that matter for setup

- Single-pole only[3]
- Radio: 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. TP-Link lists Bluetooth 4.2 for setup only.

- Form: Replaces a standard wall switch and comes with a wall plate.
- Dimmer: TRIAC dimming; 300 W incandescent/halogen, 150 W LED.
