Aqara Smart Lock U200 is a retrofit lock that mounts on the inside over your existing cylinder and joins Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant over Matter on Thread. Every platform needs a Thread border router; for Apple that means a HomePod mini, HomePod 2nd gen or Apple TV 4K. The kit includes a wireless outdoor keypad with fingerprint reader, and the lock runs on a rechargeable 7.4 V Li-ion pack rated at about 6 months per charge.

| Matter | Yes, over Thread | CSA lists the Smart Lock U200 from Lumi United (Aqara), product ID 0x2802, with Thread and Bluetooth. The listing does not name a region; a separate US model (AD075) has its own certificate.[4],[6] Other Matter smart locks |
| Apple Home | Via Matter | Needs an Apple home hub that is a Thread border router (HomePod mini, HomePod 2nd gen, Apple TV 4K).[6],[7] |

| Amazon Alexa | Via Matter | Needs a Thread border router that supports Matter.[6],[7] |

| Home Assistant | Via Matter | Aqara's launch release lists Home Assistant; reached through Matter, which needs a Thread border router. Aqara's manual says third-party platforms get only basic functions.[6] |
“Via Matter” means you add it with that platform's Matter controller instead of a brand skill or app. “Unconfirmed” means we couldn't find an official source either way. How we verify.
Specs that matter for setup
- Local control
- Unconfirmed
- Radio: CSA lists Thread and Bluetooth. Aqara's spec sheet also lists NFC for cards and phones.
- Hub: Aqara disagrees with itself: the US spec table says a hub is required (Aqara M3), while the U200 FAQ says Aqara Home users need no hub and the M3 is only needed for remote control and automations.
- Local control: No Aqara source states local-only control.
- Fit: Aqara calls it a retrofit lock: it mounts on the inside over the existing cylinder. Euro-profile cylinders need an emergency function; Aqara's installation page covers the supported cylinder types.
- Keypad: The lock ships with a pre-paired wireless outdoor keypad with fingerprint reader (4 × AAA or 12-24 V wired); the EU box lists the four AAA batteries for it.
- Power: 7.4 V rechargeable Li-ion pack, included in the EU box; up to about 6 months per charge at 8 unlocks a day. Aqara's spec also allows 4 AA cells through an AA battery adaptor, which the EU box list does not include.
