Lutron's Caséta Smart Bridge (L-BDG2) runs up to 75 Caséta devices from one box: dimmers, switches, fan controls, Pico remotes and sensors, over Lutron's proprietary Clear Connect RF. It plugs into the router by Ethernet, and control stays local if your internet drops. Paired devices show up in Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and Home Assistant; Apple Home needs the second-generation bridge or the PRO.

- Radio: Lutron says the hub plugs into a LAN port on the router with the included Ethernet cable and doesn't use Wi-Fi. Devices talk over Lutron Clear Connect RF, which is not in the radio list, so only Ethernet is recorded.
- Hub: It is the hub. Caséta dimmers and switches work with Pico remotes without it, but app control, schedules, scenes and smart-speaker integration need it.
- Local control: Lutron says the hub doesn't use Wi-Fi, so local control keeps working during an internet outage.
- Connects devices over: Lutron Clear Connect RF, to Caséta dimmers, switches, fan controls, Pico remotes and sensors.
- Matter bridge: No Matter bridge claim found.
- Thread border router: No Thread claim found.
- Max devices: Lutron says up to 75 Caséta devices per hub. Some retailer listings still give the older 50.
